Our goal is to provide complete services and quality therapy at multiple locations with evening and weekend hours convenient for our patients. We specialize in quick access to our services, meaning most consumers can be scheduled within the week but sometimes they can be seen the same day. We do not have a waiting list.
I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University in 1982 and specialized in both Policy/Administration and Clinical Studies. I have been a Clinical Director of both Inpatient and Outpatient psychiatric settings for children and families as well as Alcohol / Drug Treatment Programs for Adults. My experience includes Director of the Youth Services Bureau for Newaygo County, MI ; Juvenile Probation Officer / Court Referee - Newaygo County Probate Court; Fostercare caseworker, Supervisor of Residential Services - Catholic Social Services ; Director of Inpatient / Outpatient alcohol / drug services - CARP ; Manager of the Crossroads Shelter - Children's Home Society ; Director of a Therapeutic Group Home - The Haven. I started The Banyan Group in May of 1990 with the intention to provide a complete Outpatient Program, readily accessible to the public with minimal bureaucratic obstacles that would allow us to provide the highest quality services without barriers for our consumers.
Currently I am not taking on new patients because of my adminstrative tasks.
