Bertha2Bertha is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida. Bertha has over 17 years of direct clinical experience in the field of mental health. Bertha has worked with many diverse client populations, specific to mental illness, substance users, Veterans, adolescents, children, families and the elderly. Her clinical work with these populations consisted of conducting psycho social assessments, individual, family and group therapy, developing treatment plans, and facilitating a safe discharge plan. Bertha has experience with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric populations in a in a range of settings, from foster care, schools, hospitals to outpatient mental health centers. Bertha obtained her master’s degree from Hunter University. Bertha has worked collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team in all settings to assist children with school adjustment issues, including those children at risk of being retained. Bertha also has provided home-based counseling to families, with the goal of improving parenting skills and developing healthier family relationships.  Bertha also is Bilingual; Creole & English.
